Donna Ritchie, Founder

Donna Ritchie is President of The Jason Ritchie Hockey Foundation. Her previous experience in non-profit leadership includes Insuring the Children, an organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and serving victims of abuse, and the Assistance League of Cincinnati, where she helped provide school supplies and basic necessities to underprivileged children. Since 2009, Donna has been an avid and devoted weekly volunteer at John Hopkins All Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute, where she engages with children and helps them make their hospital stay more bearable.   

 

As a mother of two sons, Donna’s lifelong mission has been to help them achieve their potential and dreams. This mission is the impetus behind The Jason Ritchie Hockey Foundation. Her leadership is guided and inspired by her son Jason’s love of sport and penchant for helping those in need. Donna is a proud advocate for youth hockey because it fosters excellence, character and confidence in children. 

 

Donna graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.  A former school teacher, she taught developmentally and emotionally challenged middle school students in Glen Ellyn, IL.

 

In her spare time, Donna enjoys boating, travel and her spending time with her canine friends.

Bob Ritchie, Founder

Bob is President and Chief Executive Officer of American Integrity Insurance Company. The Company he co-founded in 2006 has become one of the largest writers of Florida homeowners insurance with almost 250,000 customers and annual revenues approaching $300 million. The Tampa-based headquarters employs 175 people.

​

A 30-year insurance industry executive, Bob’s previous experience includes his tenure as Executive Vice President of American Modern Insurance Group (a subsidiary of Munich Re), where he had profit and loss responsibility for a $540 million portfolio including manufactured housing, dwelling fire, and commercial lines writings. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of GE Insurance Solutions with profit and loss responsibility for a $600 million business consisting of program manager business targeting niche, specialized customer groups, as well as a portfolio of writings through E&S wholesale brokers.

Bob has a proven track record of growing existing and new businesses, and he has deep product, underwriting, and financial acumen. He has a BS degree in Business from the University of Evansville and has also completed numerous industry courses and programs.

Since the Foundation’s inception, Bob has played a significant role in raising capital for the Foundation in ways that honor Jason and provide opportunities for deserving athletes.

Jon Ritchie, Founder

Jon is the Executive Vice President of Operations for American Integrity Insurance Company. As an integral member of the  executive leadership team, Jon is responsible for managing the Company’s profitability and day-to-day operations management, and has overall accountability for top and bottom line performance, execution and business results.

 

Jon joined the company in 2009 as a marketing analyst, and quickly took on new roles of increasing responsibility. He has worked in almost every department in the Company, giving him a broad and deep knowledge of each business unit. He draws on this experience to develop and execute the Company’s business plan, product launches and growth goals.

 

Jon holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from DePaul University and an MBA from Indiana University with concentrations in both Finance and Entrepreneurship. He enjoys his work at the Foundation, as it helps him to honor his brother in the best way possible: allowing others to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

Tim Meenan

Timothy J. Meenan is an A.V. rated lawyer in the Martindale Hubbell law directory. While Deputy Treasurer for the State of Florida, Mr. Meenan oversaw Florida’s four billion-dollar State Treasury and three other divisions of the Florida Department of Insurance, including the Division of Risk Management. He also served for three years as the executive assistant to the Florida Insurance Commissioner, where he helped formulate and implement legislative and regulatory proposals for the Department. Mr. Meenan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University, serving as President of the student body, and received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law.

 

Mr. Meenan’s legal practice focuses on regulatory law before numerous state agencies, with an emphasis on insurance company and agent regulation. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Meenan has represented many clients before the Florida Legislature, enacting legislation throughout the Florida Insurance Code. He currently serves as the statewide lobbyist for the Florida Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

 

Mr. Meenan currently serves on the boards of the Florida Workforce Plus and the Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science.

 

Tim adds significant legal and strategic breadth to the Foundation and will be actively engaged in raising capital.

 

 

Lisa Miller

Lisa served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Financial Services, a $500 million agency with over 2800 employees and oversight of 13 divisions including Florida’s $20 billion treasury and 400,000 insurance agents.

Prior to her work with the Department of Financial Services, Lisa served as Deputy Commissioner and chief lobbyist for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation during 2004 and 2005. Prior to that, she worked as Director of Corporate Relations for an Ernst & Young municipal bond investor relations affiliate.

​

Lisa has served on numerous panels and commissions including the Governor’s Property Insurance Reform Committee, and the Medical Malpractice Professional Claims Liability Reporting System Task Force. She was the Office of Insurance Regulation’s Board liaison to many quasi-governmental entities including Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, The Florida Automobile Joint Underwriting Association, The Medical Malpractice Joint Underwriting Association, the Workers Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association and the Florida Insurance Guaranty Association.

​

A native of Florida, Lisa graduated cum laude from Florida State University (FSU) with a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She also has a Certified Public Manager designation.

​

Lisa serves as Secretary to the Foundation and is a critical asset to its strategic formation and implementation.

Debbie Cook-Mehdiyoun

Jason’s aunt resides in Indianapolis, Indiana. She joins the board with more than 30 years experience in the mortgage banking industry and currently works for Bank of America as a Platinum Sales Manager for their downtown circle location.

 

Debbie is a supporter of the Keith Shereda Spinal Cord Research Foundation and the Burn Foundation.  She has been a member of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors for 30 years in the  Southside, Downtown and Western divisions. She is a member of American Legion and supporting all of their charitable activities. Debbie attended Indiana University (IU) and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

 

In her spare time she enjoys hiking in our National Parks, speed walking, and the company of her life long friends.

 

 

Stu Gould

Good As Gould is owned and operated by Stu Gould. Stu is currently the goaltending coach for the Loyola Ramblers High School team.  Stu also works with the Flames youth hockey program.  He was the assistant coach of the 5-time defending Illinois State High School champions, New Trier Green.

 

Stu is a highly sought after and successful goalie instructor in the Chicago area. He is also Director of the Good As Gould Goaltending Schools. Jeremy Mele

Jeremy is a successful leader with more than 16 years in the engineering and environmental industry with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, operations and business development. He currently acts as the President of EFI Global Inc., a leading provider of engineering services, fire investigations, environmental consulting and laboratory services to the insurance, commercial, industrial, institutional, public, corporate and legal communities.  As President, he is responsible for the management and implementation of the organization’s strategic vision and growth plan, while ensuring that the company’s core values and services align with current and future market conditions. 

 

He has served in numerous management roles overseeing a wide range of services including forensic engineering, environmental site assessments and remediation, indoor air quality and remedial design. Previous roles include Executive VP for SDII Corporation, President of Global Drilling, LLC and Director of Environmental and Catastrophe Services for SDII Corporation. He has a BS in Environmental Systems Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.

 

Jeremy is an active member of his community and has been a board member for JRHF since 2013. He has served as a volunteer for Metropolitan Ministries and a participant in the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation Walk for a Cure events. 

 

He is also a member of USA Hockey, and from the earliest of his days has been an avid fan and participant, getting on the ice as often as he can in the ever expanding hockey community of Tampa Bay.

 

 

Abby Ritchie, Executive Director

Abby is a former Family Law Attorney having practiced in Tennessee and in Florida, where she now lives in Saint Petersburg with her husband and two children. Abby is the former Executive Director of the Ritchie Hockey Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping student athletes flourish in athletics, academics, and personal development. A stay-at-home mom to Natalie (7) and Michael (5), Abby and her husband Jon hope to show their children that true growth and joy come through radical gratitude and reverence for the present moment.

Juan Carlos Mahfouz

Originally from New York City, Juan Carlos or “JC” has been living in the Tampa area for 25+ years and been in the Florida insurance industry for 19 of them. He served as a Territory Sales Manager with American Integrity for 9 years, and has experienced many of the successes and growth the company has accomplished since inception. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is working towards multiple insurance designations.

 

JC is looking forward to participating in the Jason Ritchie Hockey Foundation by dedicating his time and raising awareness for the foundation that touches the lives of many local children in the Tampa Bay area.

Kyle Konin

Kyle first met Bob and Donna Ritchie through one of Stu Gould's Florida camps in 2010. With their help Kyle found his way to The Winchendon school, where he played hockey from 2012-2015. He then transferred to Kimball Union Academy where he played his senior and PG year alongside his brother. After high school, Kyle played Junior hockey before heading to college. Kyle launched his own goalie mask airbrushing business, which is now thriving. Kyle lives with his wife, Hannah, in Saint Petersburg. Kyle is looking forward to giving back to future student- athletes.

Adam Letarte

Adam is from Milford, New Hampshire and attended The Winchendon School from 2011-2015. Adam players three sports during his time at Winchendon but his true love was hockey. He was honored to be approached by The Ritchie Hockey Foundation during his senior year for a scholarship. With support and inspiration from The Foundation, Adam pursued his dream of becoming an airline pilot. Adam has successfully graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently in training to be a commercial pilot. Adam lives in Houston with his fiancé, Gabby. Adam wishes to support and encourage young student-athletes in their paths in the game and the world.

Zach Drane

Zach is from Naperville, Illinois and started playing hockey when he was five years old. Throughout his childhood, he participated in many local programs, including The Flames in Glen Ellyn, IL. This is where Zach met Stu Gould and Jason Ritchie. Jason and Zach shared the same passion for hockey and often attended clinics together. Zach attended Western Illinois University, where he received his degree in Finance with a minor in Nutrition. After graduation, he began his full-time career as a goalie coach, now working for Gould Goalie School. Zach currently lives in Illinois with his wife, Whitney and two sons, Vinny and Anthony.
